Visit a Real Warsaw Home.

Skip the souvenir shops for a day and come to our place instead. We invite small groups into our homes in Kamionek and Grochów, where we’ll make coffee, serve pierogi and spend a few hours together. You might meet a Viking. You will definitely see a side of Warsaw that most visitors never do.

Not in the usual sense. There are no flags, no loudspeakers and no memorised speeches. You’ll be welcomed into a real home, we’ll put the kettle on, and the afternoon will unfold naturally. Some conversations stay with Warsaw. Others wander somewhere completely unexpected. That’s part of the experience.

Two. One is a pre-war apartment in Kamionek, with original wooden windows, oak herringbone floors and a tiled stove that has been part of everyday life for generations. The other is on the fifteenth floor of a 1985 apartment block in Grochów, where the view stretches across Warsaw and Zawisza might open the door dressed as a Viking. They’re completely different, and that’s exactly why many guests choose to visit both.

Yes. The two neighbourhoods are close to each other, and getting between them is easy by tram or on foot. Many guests choose to visit both because they offer two completely different sides of Warsaw. One afternoon, two homes, two very different stories.

Most visits last between 1.5 and 3 hours. Some guests stay a little longer because the conversation is flowing and nobody is watching the clock. If you visit both homes, plan for a relaxed afternoon rather than a quick stop.

Visits are for private groups of 2 to 6 people. When you book, the visit is just for your group. We never combine different bookings, so you’ll have the home, the conversation and the afternoon to yourselves.

Of course. Families are very welcome. Let us know how old your children are and we’ll make sure the visit feels comfortable and enjoyable for everyone.

Yes. We usually serve vegetarian pierogi, homemade Polish cake (most often sernik), coffee, tea and water. If you’d rather skip the food, that’s absolutely fine. Just let us know when you book. The price stays the same.

Yes, if you’d like to. Depending on which home you’re visiting, we can take a short walk through Kamionek or Grochów. It’s a lovely way to see the streets, parks and places that make each neighbourhood feel like home.

We speak English and Polish, and between us we also know a little Italian and French. Let us know which language you prefer when you send your request, and we’ll do our best to make you feel at home.

Both homes are on Grochowska Street, just a short distance from each other. One is a pre-war apartment in Kamionek, the other is on the fifteenth floor of a 1985 apartment block in Grochów. Because these are private homes, we share the exact address after your visit has been confirmed.

Simply send us your preferred date, the number of guests and whether you’d like to visit one home or both. We’ll usually reply within 24 hours to confirm availability, answer any questions and help you plan your visit. Sending a request doesn’t commit you to anything. It’s simply the first step.

No. All prices are for your private group, not per person. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, a family or a group of friends, you’ll have the home and your hosts to yourselves.

Prices start at €120 for two people visiting one home, or €160 if you’d like to visit both. Larger groups start from €180 for three people and go up to €360 for six people visiting both homes. Every visit includes vegetarian pierogi, Polish cake, coffee, tea and water.

You can pay by PayPal, bank transfer, BLIK or cash on arrival for the remaining balance. Choose the option that suits you best. We’ll send all payment details together with your booking confirmation.

Yes. One lives in Kamionek and two live in Grochów. They’re very much part of the family, so if you have a cat allergy, please let us know before you book. These are real homes, and the cats live here too.

Warsaw Locals is run by four people: Zofia and Raf in Kamionek, and Magda and Zawisza in Grochów. One of them occasionally answers the door dressed as a Viking. The others usually don’t. When you visit, you’ll spend the afternoon with the people who actually live there.

A few days’ notice is usually enough, although earlier is always better if you have a specific date in mind. Because these are our homes, availability depends on our everyday lives rather than a booking calendar. We’ll usually reply within 24 hours.

Of course. We don’t mind. As long as you come curious, friendly and respectful, you’re always welcome. We’ll put the kettle on.
